Attempted 5 paper for prelim this week, CLL paper 1, Maths paper 1, GP paper 1&2 and Chemistry paper 3.
I thought I was prepared, but it was surprisingly hard. But I still have a fair chance of passing.
And what I enjoyed most is to do GP and CLL paper's comprehension. The passage never fail to inspire me. I still can remember the passage for CLL. It is about REJECTION. It might seems negative to many people, but the writer see it in a different light. To reject is a right, and is a privilege. Though it is pain but we have to do it. We got to reject things that are hindering us so that we can achieve our dream. And to reject is a everyday choice, in mathematical theory, when you have make a choice, you reject 99% of the other choice. However, rejection should be done with maturity, deep thoughts and lots of wisdom. When you reject means you might not have a chance to have it again. These are the beauty and the pain of REJECTION.
As for GP, there are two passages, both about moral education. The first passage is arguing that the we should have a great relearning in our school; the other one is arguing that the way the school conduct moral education is futile and inappropriate. Both are written in the context of America. I feel that it is true that we should relearn the things that are written by wise men in the past and use it in moral education. Yet I disagree that the way the school conduct moral education is futile. In Singapore, the education system is considered to be one of the best. Many foreign students choose to come to Singapore for education. As a student going through 11 years of education, I can say that the school has done their part of educating the students in the moral prospect. I am thankful that I have learnt different values in different schools and able to discern what is wrong and what is right.
Thank God that I am placed in the environment where I was taught how to be morally upright and able to inherit different values from the schools I have attended. =)
