4th University

Recently the 4th university is one of the hot topic that many are discussing in Singapore. Many people question that whether the 4th university would be sub-standard, but I believe that recently the reports of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) would collaborate with the 4th university will clear the doubts.

With the improve in the qualities of education in primary, secondary and tertiary level, the performance of the students nowsaday is generally better. Result slip with 'A's are common now. It would mean that more people will be qualified to enter a university, however the placement available are limited, many of the student who are qualified are unable to get a place in local university and have study in private university or go oversea to pursue their further study. It would be easy to lose local talents if many would go oversea to pursue their university education and decide to be rooted there. Having the fourth university would be necessary, it is estimated that 2500 more student would be able study in local university.

Now many students would be able to pursue their degree in Singapore, this however would give rise to a problem whether there would be enough job placement for the new graduates. If there are so many university graduates and lack of job opportunities in Singapore then it would cause the unemployment rate to increase. Furthermore, with the influx of foreign talents, more job would be occupied. How would this problem be solved?

Yes! The Integrated resort(IR) and market- haired would be providing extra jobs, would it be enough? That would be a question that I'm wondering.
